He is a trusted advisor to governments, regulatory bodies, and state-owned enterprises, having been instrumental in shaping regulatory policies and anti-money laundering (AML/CFT) frameworks across Francophone Central Africa. He currently serves as legal counsel to Central African Financial Investigation Agencies, advising on asset recovery and regional cooperation.

His strategic vision extends to critical infrastructure and Africa's energy sovereignty. Michel is the Founder of the African Nuclear Energy Promotion Initiative (ANEP Initiative). Through this initiative (visit www.acni.africa), he advocates for and facilitates the development of safe nuclear energy as a catalyst for sustainable industrialization across the continent.

In the private sector, his integrated expertise allows him to provide strategic guidance to multinational clients and private equity funds on high-stakes infrastructure finance, cross-border M&A, and complex tax structuring.

Ida is a Partner in charge of Litigation and Dispute Resolution with over 12 years of hands-on experience advising and representing clients in complex, high-profile corporate litigation and arbitration matters across multiple African jurisdictions.

She is a member of the Rwanda Bar Association, the East African Law Society, and the Cameroon Bar Association, giving her a rare cross-border litigation profile spanning both Common Law and OHADA jurisdictions.

Ida regularly acts in commercial, banking, shareholder, construction, and regulatory disputes, with a strong track record in managing sensitive multi-party proceedings and high-value arbitration matters. She is particularly recognised for her strategic approach to dispute risk management, early case assessment, and negotiation-driven resolutions.

Her practice is distinguished by deep courtroom advocacy skills combined with a sophisticated understanding of corporate and financial transactions, enabling her to align litigation strategy with her clients’ business objectives.

Esther is Of Counsel in the firm’s Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, bringing over 12 years of hands-on experience in complex civil and commercial disputes.

She advises and represents clients in high-stakes litigation matters involving contractual liability, tort claims, real estate disputes, enforcement proceedings, and corporate-related civil actions. Her practice spans both local and cross-border matters, with a strong focus on procedural strategy, evidentiary analysis, and judicial advocacy.

Esther is recognised for her meticulous case preparation, persuasive advocacy and ability to navigate sensitive multi-party disputes with clarity and discipline. She is frequently involved in matters where procedural precision and litigation risk management are critical to the outcome.

She works closely with corporate clients, financial institutions and international counsel to ensure that litigation strategies are aligned with business realities and reputational considerations, making her a trusted advisor in complex civil dispute environments across the region.

Professor Yvette Rachel Kalieu Elongo joins Maaron Law Firm as Of Counsel, bringing a leading scientific endorsement and legal expertise. Full and Associate Professor of Law (CAMES), she is a key figure in business law in Central Africa, combining academic rigor and practical mastery of community regulations.

Currently Vice-Dean in charge of programming at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the University of Dschang, she has an internationally recognized expertise in complex legal issues:

• Banking Law & CEMAC Regulation : In-depth expertise of COBAC regulations and financial market mechanisms in the CEMAC zone.

Charlemagne Nana is a seasoned tax expert bringing a wealth of strategic knowledge to Maaron Law Firm as Of Counsel. CEMAC Approved Tax Advisor, he has a long and solid experience dedicated to taxation, finance and accounting within large companies and multinationals.

With his career as Deputy Director of Taxation at major energy players such as ENEO Cameroon and AES-SONEL, Mr. Nana has developed a sharp skill in the management of complex tax relationships. His expertise covers :

• Tax compliance and auditing : Supervision of tax returns, tax reviews and audits to ensure the regularity of operations.
• Litigation and Strategic Negotiations : Representation of companies during tax and customs audits, and conduct of high-level negotiations with the Cameroonian government, which resulted in substantial savings and the signing of strategic agreements.
• International Taxation and Transfer Pricing : Assistance in the development and supervision of intra-group transfer pricing documentation.

Holder of a Diploma of Advanced Accounting Studies (D.E.C.S.) from the Catholic University of Lille (France), Charlemagne Nana has continuously enriched his skills through specialized training, particularly on deferred taxes (USA) and leadership.
